On March 13, 2025, Silver Lining for the Needy Initiative (SLNI) in collaboration with POWER Foundation hosted a groundbreaking session at Nigeria House, New York, as part of the 69th Commission on the Status of Women (CSW69). Under the title “From Declaration to Action: Evidence, Progress, and Gaps” the event convened together global experts, policymakers, advocates, and change-makers to engage in a powerful discourse on gender equality and sustainable progress.
This wasn’t a regular panel discussion, it was a dynamic, interactive, and solution-driven where participants were not only listeners but also contributors to the dialogue. The session explored key challenges, shared evidence-based solutions, and provided a road-map for accelerating the implementation of the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action.
Our Speakers engaged directly with the audience, fostering deep reflections, critical debates, and practical recommendations.
Mr. Anil Wasif, one of our distinguished speakers, shared his admiration for the event’s structure highlighting:
“I was mesmerized by the format of the panel structure, the interaction between speakers and participants, and the highly educative nature of the session. It was a rare opportunity where both participants and experts exchanged challenges and actionable solutions.”
This session reaffirmed that gender equality is about conversations and taking actionable steps. The discussions were not only thought-provoking but also laid the foundation for real-world impact. Participants left inspired, equipped with fresh perspectives, and committed to championing meaningful change in their respective fields.
