On the 6th of March 2017, Silver Lining for the Needy Initiative (SLNI), carried out a community outreach which focused on the distribution of birthing kits for pregnant women, the birthing kits were distributed in Sakwaya and Kudai Primary Health Care Centers Dutse, Jigawa State. In March, SLNI in collaboration with the Rani Initiative provide students from the Government Day Secondary School Bwari for the 3rd term of 2016/2017 school year and the 1st term 2017/2018 school year. A total of 33 students were given the scholarship.
Silver Lining for the Needy Initiative carried out a vitamin A and Deworming program in Piwoyi PHC. SLNI dewormed 125 children in the community while also administering 100 Vitamin A tablets.

SLNI also partnered with Rotaract Club of Abuja Federal for a program that took place in Piwoyi community F.C.T Abuja at different primary schools which includes: Shekwoyandu International Academy and Maria Gorathy Academy. The program aimed at administering of vitamin A to children from 6-11 months, 12-59 months and also de-wormed the children. At the
Silver Lining Initiative in commemoration of the new year visited the children of Bema homes primary school in Piwoyi community of Abuja on the 13th of January. We had a party where we shared lots of gifts and food, we also taught the children on proper hand washing and personal hygiene.
