The outreach program at Victory of God International Academy in Waru, Abuja, held on the 10th of October 2023, in celebration of the International Day of the Girl Child, was a resounding success.
Program Activities.
HPV Vaccine Awareness: Informative presentations and discussions on the HPV vaccine, its role in preventing cervical cancer, and dispelling myths.
Environmental Hygiene and Sustainability: interactive session on environmental hygiene, waste management, and the importance of a clean environment. Demonstrations of sustainable practices and encouragement for students to participate in environmental protection.
Mental Health Education: Interactive sessions on mental health awareness, stress management, and the importance of seeking help when needed.
Quiz Competition: A quiz competition on the topics covered during the program and Prizes awarded to the top three winners for their active participation.
Participation: A large number of students from Victory of God International Academy actively participated in the program. And fifteen students participated in the quiz among which three emerged winners.
We recommend careful planning and time management to maximize the impact of the program within the designated time frame. Encourage ongoing education on HPV vaccination, vaccine hesitancy, environmental hygiene, and mental health awareness in schools.
