SLNI lining for the Needy Initiative (SLNI) on the 19th, 20th, 22nd &23rd of August 2019 carried out Kids Club Activities at Piwoyi, Kpaduma, Drumi and Karu Communities respectively. The activities which commenced at 12:00 pm at each location started with opening prayers and a brief introduction of all present. The CPC Officer in person of Mr. EzeAdirieje anchored all sessions.
Mr. Eze welcomed all the children to their monthly educative and informative activities and encouraged them to always be available to enjoy themselves. He introduced them to mentally assertive games including spellings, alphabet recitation, building letter blocks, coupled with reading animated stories to them. He taught new rhymes and songs which they actively participated in. He encouraged the children to make good use of the holiday period to study hard to improve their grades in the coming term, as well as to be obedient to their parents and elders.
The CPC officer led the children in songs as a portrayal of good character and obedience as they were being taught during their class sessions. All were treated to mentally and physically invigorating dancing competitions. The program was educating, interactive and was highly entertaining.
Refreshment was served at the end of the program. The meeting came to a close at about 2:00 pm. A total number of 246 kids were in attendance from all the communities.
SLNI aims and objectives for the programs are to empower and improve the lives of Children morally and intellectually in rural communities by equipping them with the right physical and mental knowledge in order to safeguard their lives and future.
