On the 6th of March 2017, Silver Lining for the Needy Initiative (SLNI), carried out a community outreach which focused on the distribution of birthing kits for pregnant women, the birthing kits were distributed in Sakwaya and Kudai Primary Health Care Centers Dutse, Jigawa State.
The program was aimed at educating pregnant women on the basic knowledge they need to know during and after pregnancy. The topics discussed include; the importance of exclusive breastfeeding, good nutrition during pregnancy, importance of ante-natal care, essence of personal hygiene/clean environment and demonstration of proper hand washing. The program ended with the distribution of fifty (50) packs of birthing kit in the location.
