On 21st November, 2022 Silver Lining for the Needy Initiative (SLNI) carried out an antenatal class for expectant mothers, the program was anchored by SLNI Nurses at the Piwoyi primary health care center, Abuja. The expectant mothers were educated about the health conditions of a pregnant woman and how best to take care of themselves while in that phase, importance of exclusive breast feeding, the effect of malaria in pregnancy was also discussed.
The day was commemorated by Silver Lining for the Needy Initiative with the expectant mothers receiving birthing kit, free malaria test for pregnant women, and also three pregnant women who participated in the raffle draw received cash gift. The Birthing kit contains gloves, antiseptic soap, sterilized blade, scalpel blade, umbilical cord strings, super absolvent disposable delivery, and pieces of gauze items which are needed during child birth.
