In 2009, she founded Silver Lining for the Needy Initiative (SLNI) in Nigeria, known for impactful community engagement and advocacy. SLNI gained UN ECOSOC’s highest consultative status in 2021. Abbas fosters partnerships, accountability, and sustainability, engaging with various stakeholders, including traditional and religious leaders, women, and youth.

Umar Sanda Oyedipe

Administrative & Stakeholder Engagement Officer

Umar Sanda Oyedipe is the Administrative & Stakeholder Engagement Officer for Silver Lining For The Needy Initiative. He specializes in human resources and is responsible for engaging with stakeholders as well as donors through fundraising. Umar graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Studies from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Ghana in 2018 and is a multilingual professional with a background working in multicultural environments. Possessing strong leadership qualities, Umar is adept at fostering relationships and creating a positive work environment for his team members to improve productivity within the office and on the field. Umar is a passionate sports and martial arts enthusiast.

Research & Development Officer

Hamza Abubakar, a top-tier Biochemistry graduate, excels as a Research and Development Analyst at the Silver Lining for the Needy Initiative. His expertise in clinical and environmental surveillance fuels impactful projects addressing educational and gender disparities in Northern Nigeria.
