The Jigawa Youth Professionals Forum (JYPF) in partnership with Silver Lining for the Needy Initiative (SLNI) has successsfully conducted “Digital Skills for Africa” training across five emirates and five selected L.G.As in Jigawa. The training held in the Five Emirates of the state for youths in Dutse, Gumel, Hadejia, Kazure and Ringim in collaboration with Google through its Nigerian implementing partners Sanstonz Ltd with the theme “Diversifying the Jigawa Economy by enabling Jigawa youth through Digital Skills’’. The Training commenced in July –November 2017.
7 th July 2017: Ringim Emirate held at Colleage of Education and Legal Studies with 1,102 participants.
8 th July, 2017: Hadejia Emirate held at Government Secondary School Fantai with 808 participants
9 th July, 2017: Kazure Emirate held at Husaini Adamu Federal Polytechnic with 777 participants
10 th July, 2017: Gumel Emirate held at Gumel Foundation with 708 participants
5 th August, 2017: Dutse Emirate held at Multipurpose Hall Jigawa State Library Board with 502 participant.
14 th October, 2017: Gwaram L.G.A held at Old Gwaram Library with 406 particiapant
15 th October, 2017: Birnin Kudu L.G.A held at College of Nursing & Midwifery with 1,176 participants.
26 th November, 2017: Buji L.G.A to hold at Government Day Secondary School Buji with 252 participants.
27 th November, 2017: Jahun L.G.A to hold at School of Health Technology with 531 participants.
28 th November, 2017: Taura L.G.A to hold at Girls Science Secondary School with 319 participants.
The JYPF and SLNI sponsored the project purposely to esnure that the Jigawa youths benefited with the Google Digital Skills for Africa pojects like their counterparts in other part of Nigeira and Africa at large.
